Rio Ferdinand and Ballack - overrated ?

Are these two players a waste of space at the moment ?
They stroll around and constantly out of position.
Ballack yesterday twice tried to clear the ball, failed and then let Modric find space to slot in the winner, then threw his arms up and blamed defenders !
Ferdinand is supposed to be a classy defender - last week left Vidic exposed, time after time - yesterday didnt seem to have the bottle for a battle - let Gera have too much time and space to score- then turned and shouted at the defenders on his right ! And threw a hissy fit at the ref for sending off the foul mouth scouser !

The point is that Ballack, Lampard and Essien are to similar, Ballack plainly isn't happy. Some players just cannot play in the PL he looks a shadow of the player he used to be but then so does Deco.

Ferdinand is a class act, point is that when the ball came in for Gera he had two players to mark he was trying to make the best of a bad job. Vidic was his own worst enemy last week.
