Some strange candidates and omissions ?
If the votes are cast by February, do the players consider their choice from February 2008 to February 2009 ? Or is it September 2008 to February 2009 ?
Ronaldo is agreat player but didnt start playing until October ?
Who would you have as your 6 candidates ?
Mine would be, in no particular order -
Gerrard, Torres, Lampard, Vidic, R Ferdinand, and if I was casting a vote now Ronaldo.

as a scotsman who watches the EPL every week,my team is wolves,so i can say in honesty the PFA player of the year has to be steven gerrard.

so Ronaldo gets the vote cos he scored 15 goals since October etc??

i dont think people would vote for him just for that. Man utd would still play the same with or with out him.

Steven Gerrard would get my vote, when you see him play, hes just incredible,its not how many incredible goals he has scored its also the way he gets the whole team and supporters keep on believing and carrying on. When he scores brilliant goals, it excites everyone even the commentators who dosnt even like Liverpool FC.

when i see ronaldo play, i sometimes feels hes such a drama queen, when he dosnt get the ball, he moans and goes off in a strop and so on. i would rather vote for Rooney as he motivates the team and tries his best to get the ball and so on, but i just hate his temper. so Steven Gerrard would get my vote, and i'm sure many people would love to have Stevie in their team without a doubt.
