Is anyone else p!ssed off with the state of the game?

All the diving and moaning about refs?

Players earning enough in a month to buy your house which takes you 25 years to pay off?

I`ve been watching games on ESPN from the 80s and the tackles were just as bad but they got up and got on with it...it`s embarrassing to watch players roll around like they`ve just been shot

It makes it worse when you see rugby players get kicked and stamped on and they get up as if nothing`s happened

Surely there must be someone who agrees with me on this..The Beautiful Game?......Not any more

Elvis at last someone talking some sense!!
my view ,thx to all the foreign players for bringing diving,play acting and getting other proffesional players booked by hand simulation.
As for the officials i think we have the worse i have seen in years.linesman who give offside who are 5-10 yards behind play because they cant keep up with the players who are so quick these days and another thing these over paid little cherubs who must have a rest because god forbid they had to play 2 games in a week, they want to try 40 hours a week in a warehouse a week for �16000 a year!! finally I AM SICK TO DEATH OF DIVERS!! if the ref had some balls and kept booking them for diving it might stop it SORT IT OUT REFS!!

On the whole the quality of football has improved greatly in the last ten years. The pace is fast, the skill and ball control is excellent and even the pitches are more conducive to a better game. Even the referees are better (however, the technology available to the armchair viewer shows they are not infallable).

The money and the stakes are greater now which goes some way to explaining the increase in unsportsmanly conduct and cheating. For top flight football, technology and retrospective punishment must be introduced.

Disagree, the majority of this country do not support Money Bags Utd, maybe the majority of the rest of the world might (ie TV audiences). I enjoy watching the Big Match revisited, maybe you don't because then Man Utd were only an ordinary team. Would be great to see the overpaid Portuguese diver after Chopper Harris/ Norman Bites Your legs Hunter/Peter Storey had tackled him.

So why shouldn't a footballer earn what they earn

The reason they get what they are paid is because people pay to watch. They don't take your taxes, they don't ask for hand outs, so whats to complain about nothing its just raw jealousy.

Tom Cruise earns �20m for a film total tim less than three months you don't complain about him.

Barbara Striesand plays the Palladium and chrges �250 a ticket compliants none.

So why complain about footballers.

Diving Droba - Ronaldo a couple of thers who sky choose to sensationalise every week.

I give you Fernado Torres - Carlos Tevez - Florent Malouda.

Wilson Palacios who waited 6 hours after his brother was found dead because he didn't want to wake the manager.

These people are in the majority of football players the divers very much the minority.

And if rugby players get up as if nothing happened whys the Physio on every 10 minutes.

At least theres a lack of eye gouging, stamping thuggary in football that is taken for granted in Football.
