Simple one... when was the last time (and previous, if you know) that he actually played in a friendly for England?

I don't know, but they better let him pick the music at half time.

I'm sure they will, the Dutch seem fairly relaxed and 'Calm' just hope they don't mutter anything.
Situations like this infuriate me as it involves England. Ryan Giggs would have doubled his appearances if the red-nosed Scotsman had allowed him to play in friendlies for Wales. However, even if Ryan had snagged a fingernail when washing he was deemed unfit and then magically be fit to play ay the weekend and there was hardly a mention in the English media - complete and utter bias and Wales suffered as a result as we were unable to get our best player for years involved with the team in friendlies and generate true team spirit that would obviously have been of benefit to the younger players when more important matches came along.

I can see your point osprey, especially when it come to Giggs and playing for his country but hey 'Wales' (English press are not bias)

You have a valid point about the youngsters and the inspiration that class players can bring to a team, but I guess at least Lampost turns up and shows willing.

Sandy I love irony even though it often goes unappreciated.....
