The Wembley Pitch

One of the scorers for Blackpool on Saturday blamed the pitch for him having to leave the stadium on crutches.
With all the problems that there have been with the pitch over the months, should England be taking a chance on possible injuries by playing there in the run up to the World Cup finals?

We fully understand the players' desire to play on as good a quality surface as they are used to and one befitting our excellent national stadium."
So they do acknowledge that there are problems - to a degree. But it is ludicrous that they seem no nearer to finding a solution than when the stadium opened.

These games are set up well in advance,so they probably cannot be changed.
I agree bibblebub, that any team who sets foot on that $h!theap of a pitch, risks serious
injury. To have had 11 pitches since the start is a damn disgrace. Why the FA cannot
follow,( as has been said many times,in the press ) the example of Arsenal is a mystery to me.It surely cannot be a question of cost, they,ve spent a fortune, already !!
