The Ed's Premier League Preview
Hello everyone,
With the international fixtures done and dusted our focus can once again return to the Premier League. Although Wednesdays match was painful to watch, there were one or two postives for us to take away, such as the first England caps for Andy Carrol, Jordan Henderson and Jay Bothroyd. Do you think these young players deserve the chance to play for their country, and do you think they show any sign of being the future England "stars" the media touts them to be?
This weekend in the Premier League is poised to be exciting, with the North London Derby at the top of most peoples "to watch" list.
The top of the table is seperated by just a few points, with Chelsea sitting top on 28, Arsenal on 26 and Manchester United on 25.
Wayne Rooney looks set to make a return after his extended stint away from the footbll pitch and, of course, the media scrutiny that has followed him since his extramarital excursions came into the public domain. What kind of reception do you think the United Faithful will greet his return with?

Forgive me from not getting worked up over the Premiership fixtures zzzzz..Now if you want to discuss the championship and Sven's influence on Leicester... blah, blah, blah ...I'm up for it.

the young players didnt really get a chance to shine for England, Jordan Henderson (who I watch regularly) was asked to play a holding game, not his style at all, he is an up and down midfielder who regularly clocks 12 or 13 k per match for Sunderland. A super young player with a great future ahead of him.

HI bibblebub
You are as you say storming up the table and I'm watching you closely !!!
I too have used all my transfers for this month and also have only 11 more till the end of the season.
I think my lucky lead in the league will gradually disappear - it all depends on the players fitness and whether they play or not.
Although we both got 80 points last week, did you notice that the "manager of the week" got 127 points - he must have some team.

As far as I am aware transfers are for a calendar month - 5 per month, but a total of 30 for the season. Presumably any transfers not used each month can be used after the end of January for the remainder of the season ( February March and April)
You and I have used up Novembers allowance and we get 5 more in December, then another 5 in January...then whatever hasn't been used - which in my case is one.
I think this is the system...which doesn't look too good for me, those teams that haven't used up their allocation of transfers will be laughing.
