I'm okay but feeling a tad fed up .... should've been going away for a short break in a cottage today. Won't bore you with the details but the upshot is that we are not going until tomorrow now, incurred a £250 car repair bill today, plus cost of a hire-car for the week. :o(

Awww, sorry to hear you're feeling a bit on the down side Mrs C.
My mum is not too bad in herself,although she's still as forgetful these days.
I'm having to remind her about most things, bless her.Thankfully she's got me around to help her with most things.
She still gets nasty migraine headaches from time to time,and I do worry about her.

I wanted to cancel our short break, don't like travelling in these appalling conditions. Very unwise. OH had been really looking forward to it though, and didn't want to cancel.

We have a lot to be thankful for, at least we came to no harm. It was just a problem with the windscreen wipers, couldn't believe it when the garage said it would be nearly £250 to repair! 'Robbing bu88ers' came to mind. (Didn't tell 'em that though). :o)
