To win the European Cup (Champions League ) you have to beat the best no matter in which round you come up against them.
I think it's about time a London Team won it as it has never happened yet, and this from a City of 8 million plus population, should be the power base for Football in this Country but it isn't.
5 wins by Liverpool is still the yardstick much to the Mancs' jealousy !

With a population of 8 million, London Teams should over the Years have the biggest Fan base creating enough wealth for the Major Clubs to buy any Player available. Wealthy owners still cannot buy Champions League winning status. Nationality does not enter the equation. Abramovich at Chelsea still cannot buy the Players necessary to win the Comp.
