I was seven points in front , with only the black ball on the table. I went to pot it and fouled on the cue ball, and we were level. My mate said I had lost beause I'd fouled on the black ball giving him seven points. I said thaty as we were now level it should be a black ball play off.
Can some one tell us who is right please.

Thanks both. Looking at the rule, does this mean that if I am, say, thirty points behind and my opponent fouls the black(the only ball left), I have won?
