Never throw that much at Wobblybum until the latter stages, but i do like to test my 'radar' in the earlier rounds, particularly with the men's tournament because, with the 5 sets, there are more choices and therefore better prices.
R Gasquet to win 3-2 @ 5/1
S Johnson to win 3-2 @ 5/1
G Dimitrov to win 3-1 @ 11/4
Win singles, £1 patent, £1 treble @ 134/1. All 3 oblige and it's a possible £387 payout + the wingles.

I may be gone a long time:-)
1130; Matthew Ebden 3-1 @ 7/2
1430; Fabio Fognini 3-1 @ 3/1
1500; Karen Khachanov 3-1 @ 10/3
£1 treble, £1 trixie = poss return of almost £211

Still searching for a half decent return but, now that we're down to the last 16, i have a bit more confidence. That said, i have deliberately chosen the 3 closest ties of the round. I mean, i could have lumped Fed, Raonic, Del Potro, Nadal and the Djokerman together and put my tenner on them all to win. And, at the end of the day, i could have been picking up a massive £15.53!! (The five combined are 0.55/1) But where's the fun in that, i ask myself?
So, i'm going for a bit of value and taking a big chance on Gael Monfils in the 3rd leg of my bet. He leads the big serving, higher ranked Kevin Anderson 5-0 in head 2 head meetings, though none were on grass. To my mind, that means he does not fear Anderson's Exocets and i'm hoping to see a fifth set in this one.
Kei Nishikori 3-1 @ 11/4
John Isner 3-1 @ 3/1
Gael Monfils 3-2 @ 6/1 (£5 win single)
£1 trixie, £1 treble returns £279 - hopefully

Tie breaks are tennis's equivalent of penalty shoot-outs. And just how many penalty shoot-outs did i lose yesterday?! Monfils alone lost 3!!!!!!
More by luck than design, my first bet on the ladies of the court comes at a time when none of the top 10 seeds are left - pretty sure had i bet on the fairer sex earlier, i would have lost even more than i already have. I am hopeful (not confident) that 3 of today's games will go to the wire - Serena Williams will probably do what Serena Williams does and win 2-0, but that's a measly 4/7.
1300; Jelena Ostapenko 2-1 @ 3/1
1300; Angelique Kerber 2-1 @ 11/4
1430; Kiki Bertens 2-1 @ 10/3
£1 treble, £1 trixie for a possible return of almost £179

Some of you will have noticed that there are no win singles in the above bet. That's because i have used the money to sort of edge my bets. I am almost convinced that the 3 matches above are close enough to go to a deciding set, though i may have the score the wrong way around? Ms Williams is getting back to her best and is facing someone she has already beaten 3 times, each time by 2-0. So;
Kasatkina/Kerber Over 2.5 sets
Cibulkova/Ostapenko Over 2.5 sets
Bertens/Goerges Over 2.5 sets
Williams/Giorgi Under 2.5 sets
£5 @ just over 16/1 = £86.29

Watching the girls yesterday, i was having a little 'you couldn't make it up' chuckle at myself. 3 of the 4 matches went the total opposite way to what i had done in my acca :-)
So, back with the boys today, and hoping for some recompense;
Raonic 3-1 @ 7/2 (£9)
Nadal 3-1 @ 3/1 (£8)
2 x £2 wins and a £2 x 17/1 double (£36)
Djokerman to win first set and the match
Raonic to win first set and the match
Federer to win 3-0
Nadal/Del Potro over 3.5 sets
£5 acca @ just over 11/2 = poss return of £33.70
