Lovely morning up here, bit cold but we can stand that. Racing is a bit of a mixed bag with small fields in most of the races. Done a bit of track hopping looking for E/W value. The best race may be the veteran chase at Sandown and although I have put a runner in my combi bet, I will be having a saver on Henllan Harri. Welsh connections and all that. * denotes reduced odds extra place.
Fire Ahead @17/2 12.30 Wincanton*
Dunly @10/1 12.55 Newcastle
Tedham @3/1 2.40Wincanton*
Houblon Des Obeaux @12/1 3.00 Sandown*
£1.00 E/W Acca. 4 X 15p E/W Trebles. 5 X 15p E/W Doubles. £5.00 Stake. Saver in the 3.00 and may cover if it goes pear shaped.

I quite fancy my 3.00 pick given the horse's record here with 3 wins from 5 over CD. So much so that i've had a bit of a punt on it e.w.
12.30 Win; Midnight Midge @ 6/1
1.05 Win; Braventara @ 9/2
2.40 Win; Earlofthecotswolds @ 12/1
3.00 San; Rathlin Rose @ 8/1
Shorter prices taken for the e.w. component of the bet. Win singles, 20p lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £52, 4 winners = £4,940.

I know what you say Ken. I look for CD previous but honestly give it more credence in flat racing. Aintree always gets my attention as does Cheltenham of course. This time of year I look for stables "in form" and Venetia Williams has been going well, plus I used to follow "Houblon" all the way. He looked better than ever today. Shovelled £2.00 E/W on the last two and put a ton back into my bank account. Try to build on that, and have funds for a free festival now.
