Lucky 7 boiled first hurdle - Grey Mist set off like a bullet from a gun, opening up a 10l lead, only to be caught by the fav and 3rd fav in the closing stages :-( Took the placepot down with it, too. I know Johnston's a great trainer but almost every time i back one of his.....................................
Think i've said it before on here, Togo, but i've never been one for the Classics. Yet i've had all 3 winners so far this year. I wasn't going to bother with the Derby - 7 runners from one stable demeans the event, imho - but i think i just might stick a pin in the card, now :-)
And Sir Frankie just gets better and better.

Aaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhh! Just watched Hateya (carrying 9-11) finish like a train but failed by a nostril to catch Corazon Espinado (8-13) :-( Still, 2 winners, 2 placed and the forecast - must be thankful for small mercies:-/ (First one at Donny has just won, though @ 7/1)
Frankie is on the outsider of the O'Brien septuplets and i don't suppose that Ryan Moore has got it so wrong in his choice of rides. As you say, Circus Maximus is best priced 11s. I may watch the market before parting with cash - if it goes out, i may be persuaded to part with a few quid e.w. :-)

As i said earlier, Maydup, one trainer with 7 runners in the field demeans what was once a spectacle. I fully respect what O'Brien has achieved but i'm not particularly a big fan. And thank whoever for that. His most ardent fans will have to back all 7, surely :-// What i have done is, with Willy Hill, had a fiver on one of their 'specials'; both Liverpool and Spurs to score, Joshua to win in rounds 1-6 and O'Brien to win the Derby @ 6/1. I can't see the Joshua fight going beyond 3 rounds, let alone 6, when Liverpool and Spurs meet there are always goals and i'm on all 7 of O'Briens horses. So, 6/1 seems reasonable :-)
