Conditions a bit more like Summer today buy the ground is still liable to be on the soft side particularly at HQ. Some stonking good handicaps and the 3.35 @Newmarket is a beaut. Probably had a flutter on every horse in it at some time or another and have 2 runners from my Sporting Life "stable" running. Had to go for the better drawn but may do a little e/w single cover on Threat rather than dismiss it. Done the ITV7 and the usual 7 & 6 timer titchy bets, but am looking mainly for e/w success and a chance to hit the jackpot with a bit of luck.

Marie's Diamond @9/1 3.15 Ascot.
Sceptical @9/2 3.35 Newmarket
Mountain Peak @12/1 3.50 Ascot
Arigato @9/1 4.10 Newmarket

£1.00 e/w acca. 25p e/w Doubles and Trebles.

Then with those...Indie Angel @11/4 2.25 Nm, Celestran @2/1 2.10 Ascot, Seventh Kingdom @4/1 3.00 Nm. Little win Trixie done with them, and they make up the 7. Good luck if you have a go.

I was looking for you chaps Thu & Fri. I could have given you a few losers.
Even harder today? You never know.
Spent hours sorting out an awful Irish handicap. Managed to pick a non-runner.
Lord Glitters will prob be my first of few bets today. Good luck.

//Managed to pick a non-runner.//

Haha. I managed to whittle the 2.25 at Ascot down to a choice between 2.......and they were both non runners.
I have chosen to stick almost rigidly to the stats today; the effect of the draw, CD winners, trainer targets, conditions, etc. And though it looks as if I've intentionally chosen horses all beginning with the same initial, that's just the way things turned out.

2.05 Asc; Manaabit @ 13/2 (Rev f/c with Alnaseem)
3.15 Asc; Marie's Diamond @ 9/1 (Rev f/c with Zaaki)
3.50; As; Mountain Peak @ 12/1 (Rev f/c with Jawaal)
4.10 N'm; Motakhayyel @ 6/1 (Rev f/c with Mutamaasik)

4 x £2 wins, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £73, 4 winners = £8,993.

2.05; Haggas won 3 from last 5 runnings of this race
3.15; Marie's Diamond ran career best @ 40/1 lto, slight lower grade
3.50; High numbers apparently best (??) & CD winner
4.10; Best of draw again versus Mutamaasik

2.25 N'm; Indie Angel @ 9/4
3.00 N'm; Master Of The Seas @ 9/2
3.35 N'm; Hello Youmzain @ 7/2 (Rev f/c with Sceptical)

£1 Treble, £1 Trixie. Poss return of £218

IYV 7; Those above with Celestran. £1 e.w. acca (except Celestran)

Best of luck, all.
Spice; you couldn't have looked for us very hard. We were here. Picking our own losers, thankyou very much :-)
Nice little drift and a good start to the bet. Haggas beginning to 'farm' this particular race.
Ken will be of to local bookies before first race. TIA
Another drifter (9/4 to 11/2) and another winner. Took advantage of 365's 4/1 tv offer :-)

You are away to a flier Ken. When that took a walk I feared the worst. Was looking at my paper a few minutes back and saw that I had marked Manaabit.......but didn't do it. Doh. Still I am off the mark and in with a shout.
See we agree on 2 today, Togo, and I've also got one of yours in a Rev f/c. Fingers crossed we are both grinning like Cheshire Cats when the last race has been run.
Ha! That's the reason I left Celestran out of my £1 e.w. acca :-)
These £2 wins aren't costing me anything ;-)
Nice little double in my Treble/Trixie + those win singles have ensured that all today's racing is paid for whatever else happens.
Watching the Liverpool v Burnley match through my fingers! Think we might be in for a bit of a smacked bottom.
3.35 forecast paid a very tasty £81.95 :-)
And Mutakhayyel chips in with a win, too. Quite a decent day at the office. What's more, the Mighty Clarets are (at the moment) holding Liverpool to just 1-0. I know, who'd a thunk it?
Just checked my 365 account and it would appear that they have paid the forecast out on the prices at the time the bet was struck because instead of the £81.95, I received £128.60. I do know that Jawaal was quite a tad higher when I struck the bet. Haven't noticed this before?

Well done Ken....not too bad this end. A place 5 timer and after covering the last 3, returns from better staked place treble and doubles. Paid me £57, and mission accomplished. I did say I was looking for place value and I got it. The only real disappointment was Marie's Diamond. It owes me now.

May put a quid on Manshood in the 7.30 at Newcastle.....another of my "stable" selections over the close season. It is at 6/1 and is paying 4 places at the mo.
Had Marie's Diamond placed, my e.w. component would have been up too.
Don't wanna put you off Manshood, but just placed the following bet;

Global Humour, Manshood, Nearly there (all at Newc) and Broad Appeal in the last at Salisbury ;-0

And the Clarets are drawing 1-1 (BTTS & Draw @ 15/2 :-)))
Question Author
Can't say I have ever checked it out Ken, but I did wonder some time back when I have laid f/cast or tri/cast bets with 365 that they give you the odds there and then if you click on the "show odds" option highlighted in green. I always wondered how that worked out. They must not be using the Tote to determine the pay outs. Rather like a fixed odds bet then.
Not complaining, T. :-) I'll be paying a tad more attention to future forecasts.
The Clarets drew 1-1 First time in 18 months anyone has come away from Anfield not having been beaten :-)))))))
And my Sat football acca is still on the go. 6 correct outcomes, waiting for BTTS & Lazio to win, (ht; 1-0), Celta Vigo double chance (ht 1-1) then City to beat Brighton away. Poss return of £739.45
Fingers, toes, legs and eyes crossed.
Question Author
You are looking good there then Ken. Must say I have "gone off" football of late. Been watching the cricket though. We both enjoy that and were saying how ridiculous it is that we can go shopping or to the pub, or whatever yet cricket grounds, football stadiums, and race courses with acres of space cannot find a way to let in some spectators as long as they are well spaced out(not on illegal substances) around the grounds or tracks and that facilities are controlled by stewards or security.
