Not a fan of betting at any Ascot meeting. Might do a few today as they come up. Eg, Battash? Mullins runners. He seems to do well with occasional flat runners in Ireland.

Had a go .. You have to innit? Maybe I can emulate the Scottish keeper and be "back of the net". ITV7 done with **** e/w Acca, Doubles Trebles. Got to get on early as we are off out whilst the sun is shining. I notice that the good Doctor is lurking with two in the marathon with Buick up on Reshoun!! It is my pick with a bit of e/w single dosh going on. The first race looks...

Any good on the football, ken?
I had 4 out of 5 over the weekend in an acca. Let down by the lowest price, Denmark@4/9 which I felt should have been voided for betting purposes. (not just talking through my wallet, honest ;-))
Then yesterday, I toyed all morning with a Czech/Slovakia double, paid 16/1. Talked myself out of it in the end. Don't know why, would have just been a 'fun' bet.
Anyway, good luck to everyone today.
Today's nap, lol. Pavers Pride ew@14/1 5:10 Thirsk (skybet are paying first 4. Not that it should matter if he's on a 'going day')
I'm not doing too badly with the football, Spice, though i did draw a blank yesterday.
I too am not a fan of Ascot, particularly Royal Ascot - far too much pomp and faffing about, interviewing Z-list celebs, fashion, etc. And all they've given me to play with today are 2 handicaps:-(
Got a free £5 bet off Bet365 to use on any race at Ascot and i have just attempted to place a £2.50 e.w. poke on Rayapour @ 14s in the 5.00. Somehow, this was interpreted as a straight fiver win - perhaps i didn't read the smaller of the small print - so i'll put £1 e.w. on it with my own dosh. The Irish, particularly Mullins, tend to win this race more often than not and this wouldn't be the first time Ryan Moore has chosen the wrong beast.
I've been put off Battash by the injury he sustained which apparently set him back a month. I know the trainer wouldn't run him if he weren't 100%, but still......... If Battash isn't fully fit, the one to benefit may well be the front-running Winter Power.
Back later, best of luck.

Good luck if you have a flutter.

Best of luck, all.

Well done with Reshoun, Togo. You chose the right one of the two :-)))

Grrr. Well done, togo. Did you do it, ken?
Nah, might have had a pop had Fahey been the trainer. I was on Mullins' 2nd string which finished in midfield. Only bit of luck i've had is Vintage Clarets and that (more or less) picked itself :-)
Pleased with that. The nearby folk on Criccieth front must have wondered what my little jig was for as I got the result up on my dog n bone. Nice £100 payout. Upped the ante a tad on my last two, to see whether I can double it. JUst got back in and it has been scorchio up here. Time for a beer and water my Tomatoes and veg.
Cheering yours on toward the end of the race, Togo. Looked like the fav was gonna get up and pip Reshoun on the line but i think yours just about had the biggest head :-)
Thanks for that Ken ... watched the replay earlier and it is obvious that the win was almost a year in the planning with Mancini there to make sure the pace was for Reshoun. Kingscote rode with a clock in his head and ensured that nothing in the field could idle then out sprint them all. Buick pulled it out from the rail and looked like he meant it. Pretty sure that Williams's stable is having a collective "large one" tonight. I would have been reaching for the tranquilizers if I was watching live. Haha. Had a quick shufti at tomorrow and it doesn't look any easier. I like the look of Magical Morning for Gosden and Dettori in the Royal Hunt Cup though.
Some decent sized fields today so i'm having a 'virtual' day at the races, with one eye on the football :-)

3.40 Asc; Queen Power @ 9/2 - 4 places
5.00 Asc; Maydanny @ 16/1 - 8 places
6.10 Asc; Lights On @ 8/1 - 5 places

Win/e.w. singles, 50p Patent, 75p e.w. Treble. 3 placed = poss £12, 3 winners = poss £1,075.

3.05; Golden Flame @ 33/1 - 5 places
3.40; Agincourt @ 16/1 - 4 places
5.00; Cliffs Of Capri @ 33/1 - 8 places

6.10; £1 Rev forecast Lights On and Dreamloper

ITV 7; Twilight Gleaming, Wordsworth, Queen Power, Love, Maydanny, Ruthin and Lights On. Left Love out of the e.w. acca.

Not done the 'popular' bets today. Come to the conclusion that they know less than i do :-J

Best of luck, all.

Lovely day here now after a dull start. Going out for a walk so got on handy. I have picked a runner in the last but if there is any heavy rain and the ground gets soft I may have a little cover bet on Tomfre when I get back in. ITV7 on and **** e/w Acca, Trebles, Doubles. Single on the first and can do the last 3 when I get back. Done a little treble on the 3 short priced runners, the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th races in the ITV7. Good luck all.
Cadamosto @5/1 2.30*
Mohaafah @13/8 3.05

Stradivarius @5/4 4.15
Raadobarg @15/2 5.00*
First Light @6/1 5.35*
Danyah @10/1 6.10*
Not a great deal of difference between our selections, Togo, given that i have Cadamosto in a forecast. Don't know if that's a :-) or a :-/
I was typing it up as you posted Ken and when I saw your post I though it was mine. Good luck mate. Just hope the rain doesn't arrive and wreck Strad's bid to make it 4 on the bounce in the Gold Cup and 5 wins in 5 years in all.
Ahh well it was not to be. What a shame. Good lad Frankie didn't "knock him about" when it was obvious that it wasn't there.
If at first you don't succeed etc. Gonna nip out for my walk shortly so thought it best to get sorted in case I am not back for the off. Done the usual punt. ITV7 with an e/w Acca, win Trebles, & Doubles.**** Little Trixie on these 3.⁕⁕⁕ Good luck to you all.

Prettiest* @7/1 2.30
Alenquer⁕ @2/1 3.05

Mother Earth⁕ @4/1 4.20
Messidor* @16/1 5.00
Aaddeey* @6/1 5.35
Warrior Brave* @6/1 6.10
Hahaha, once again, Togo, 5 same selections. No doubt, like me, influenced by the change in going. Again, will it be a :-) or yet another :-((? Terrible so far, thankfully the football was kind to me yesterday :-)

2.30; £2 win Eve Lodge @ 13/2 (RF/c with Oscula)

3.40; Dragon Symbol @ 11/2 - 5 places (RF/c with Campanelle)
5.00; Teodolina @ 12/1 - 7 places (RF/c with Friendly)

Win singles, 20p L15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = poss £27, 4 winners = poss £4, 958.

ITV7; Eve Lodge, Alanquer, Dragon Symbol, Mother Earth, Teodolina, Aaddeey & Warrior Brave. £1 e.w. acca & Placepot first 6.

5.35; £1.16p e.w. Dark Pine @ 25/1 - 5 places

Best of luck, all.

Well i never knew that! Dragon Slayer beats Campanelle by a head, leaning on it for quite some time, making both of them drift. Stewards reversed the placings, so Campanelle gets the race with Dragon Slayer 2nd. As far as my bet goes, Dragon Slayer is a winner. Which, of course, i knew. However instead of receiving the £22.52 generated by the FC, i received £52.61, so it looks as if i've been paid for both results :-))))
