Today's first day looks to be a good meeting - some decent handicaps and some large fields for e.w. purposes. I'm quite tempted to hop on a bus (bus pass) or train (fastest method and only about £25 return) if my mate fancies going over. I think i can just about afford it after Sunday's little win :-)

That first race is a devil of puzzle. Would have been all over Dakota Gold but for 2 things; the draw and the fact no horse has ever won this race twice. As for old fav Copper Knight - loves this track but last 3 runs here have been unremarkable?

Settled for a couple of quid e.w. on Bergerac @ 20s. from a stable that took this with a 4yo in both '13 and '14.

Morning all ... again on handy to take the bog offer and to get out whilst the weather allows. Done the ITV7 and an E/W York punt on some of the runners that have won for me in the past. Can't see Baaeed being beaten but High Definition at 80/1 is tempting for second place at 20/1. **** E/W Acca, Trebles & Doubles. Singles done. ⁕⁕⁕Win Trixie.. Good Luck punters.

Ramazan ran a good race in the last but does not add to the profit. A good first day and hopefully more of the same tomorrow when, in between the stakes and the handicaps, we have the Yorkshire Oaks to look forward to.

Not bad after a terrible start. Came in late to see that I had done zilch on the punt. The last two were still to run and I did a little E/W double and 2 singles on Designer and Mist Blue. Paid me £51. Out of jail card played.
