Son and i deliberating whether or not to pay Thirsk a visit but the weather forecast doesn't bode well. It says light showers and a gentle breeze but looking at the 'diagram', it looks as if it's a persistent light shower, so we most likely won't go:-(

Wasn't the traffic that put us off, Togo. When i visit a racetrack, i like to get my bet on then stand as near to the action as possible. Not very nice if it's drizzling all the time.

Holly Doyle has just booted one home in the second at Goodwood. I was on her nag in the first - it came last. Such is life:-/

Not too scabby a day despite so few winners. Couple of win singles (incl the 2,000 Guineas winner) and a double in the Trixie bet gets me my dosh back with a few quid to spare, even after using some to place a bet over the jumps at Hexham tonight.

I had a cheeky £1 E/W on Hi Royal after popping in to see the debris of my punt. Pitty I hadn't done the mugs double with Saga. More that doubled my original stakes. Never mind.
