New Year's Day Punt - Mon 1 Jan 2024
Five of the six planned meetings have survived the inclement weather - Southwell abandoned - and two of those make up the ITV7, which alternates between Cheltenham and Musselburgh. The first leg is the 1.30 Cheltenham, a meeting at which there is just the one handicap with the requisite number of runners for the e.w. punter. Contrast that with the a.w. meeting at Newcastle where all 7 races fit the bill.
However badly, or however well you did in 2023, may i wish all punters a better 2024. As for the 'enemy', i know you will join me in wishing them a less prosperous 2024😉

Could do with a little more luck myself but I would not want to hog it all. The wind and rain has stopped and we have clear skies up here but it is cold. Off out for a walk and if there are not too many "visitors" in the place perhaps a bite to eat. Done the ITV7 and a couple of punts as per.
