...begins today, 1.30 and runs for 4 days. As one would expect, the festival provides the majority of races in the ITV 7, with 5 (the 1.30 being the first leg) and 2 races from Sedgefield.

I might put £20 on Lossiemouth. Not far from where i stay. The odds arent great though.

Question Author

I am putting Lossiemouth in my ITV 7 because it's the obvious choice having won at the Festival last year, though i'm going each way on Lantry Lady to have an interest in the race.

Question Author

1.30 Che;  Jeriko Du Reponet @ 9/1 (£5 free bet with WH)

2.10 Che;  Il Etait Temps @ 5/1 - 4 places

2.50 Che;  Stumptown @ 11/1 - 7 places

4.50 Che;  Eagle Fang @ 14/1 - 6 places

3 x £2 wins, 20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £109, 4 winners = £19,447.

ITV7; above qualifiers plus; State Man, Lossiemouth, Tedtwo and Everyonesacritic. £1 e.w. acca.

£2.50 e.w. (FB) Lantry Lady @16/1 - 4.10 Che.

Best of luck, all.

Rev f/c, Jeriko and Firefox

I think they get through 5 millions pints of the black stuff! Well at least!

Question Author

Something obviously amiss with Jeriko in the opener. As soon as the race got serious, it dropped to the rear of the field and never recovered, pulling up before the last. Commentator mentioned something regards the stable, so perhaps ot's not just the one horse?

Taken advantage of 365's offer of Evens on State Man in the 3.30 (actual odds 4/9).

Question Author

Think our selections will be be there at the finish, Togo, in the 2.50. So i've done the rev f/c on Stumptown and Meeting of the Waters.

Question Author

Taken advantage of Willy Hill's offer of evens on Lossiemouth.

@10.44.Got £32.50 back. Will put it on an outsider tomorrow.

Question Author

Nicky Henderson has confirmed what we already suspected by withdrawing 3 of his runners, today, plus further withdrawals through the remainder of the Festival.

He said, "It was there for all to see that there is obviously somerhing affecting nearly all of our horses..." He has withdrawn Jonbon, First Street and Kingston Pride from today's card.

I had already dedcided to give them a swerve today Ken. I have never seen him have 3 pu in one meeting, never mind in an afternoon, like yesterday. The other trainers have to be hoping that their own horses haven't picked up the virus, or whatever is causing the lethargy,  and taking it back to their stables. Time for a bit of social distancing for horses?

Edwardstone my tip of the day.£35 Win.It cant lose.

Question Author

He's kept a couple in his 'dad's race' but i'll definitely be swerving them. Had a cursory look at what's on offer (and what's not) and it looks, on paper, to be another Mullins Benefit day:-(

Question Author

No sooner had i typed the above, i received a text from 365 informing me they are going Evens on Ballyburn in the first. Taken full advantage.

Having had a quick look last night and another this morning I am of a mind to look for a bit of e/w value in all the races and see if I can chisel a bit back that way. Not much profit for the small stakes punter picking winnerss by the look of it.

a bit of E/W value for me today

Is that an e.w. Lucky 15, Johnny, and an e.w. acca. And an e.w. Patent. Only you open with "a bit of e.w. value for me today."

Am i right? I'm not wrong😉

Question Author

I got my facts wrong earlier in that the two Henderson runners still intending to line up, do so in the 2.50 and not the 4.50. I can only guess that these two must have scoped clean. But so did all his runners yesterday.

Another beautiful horse unnecessarily dies. Cruel sport !
