Once again it's that time of the year when the 'plebs' get to hob-nob with the , Royas, hoo-ray Henrys and snobs, and funny hats abound.*

As one would expect, all 7 races from Ascot make up the ITV7 and, because it's such a special occasion (allegedly), the Jackpot is a massive £100K.

Neither myself nor Togo are particularly fond of Ascot as a course, but i have no doubt he will also be trying his luck at the royal meet.

Best of luck to all others who do likewise.

*If racing's not your cup of tea, i have no doubt there will be the inevitable 'fashion parades' in between the events๐Ÿ˜‘

Yep it cheered up a miserable evening watching Southgate turn 11 players who have been playing out of their skins for club into mediocre shadows of themselves. So afraid of making a mistake that they can't do anything right.

Agreed, Togo. I find it totally absurd that players are picked to represent their country based on their performances for their clubs. Yet they seem to be actively discouraged from playing the way they play for their clubs?

My pre-tournament prediction was that we bow out in the quarters, possibly to Italy and just as possibly on pens. Now i'm not so sure we'll even reach that stage.

L15 started off well, but Bague D'or never got into the race. Put a football bet on and had £3 left in my account so i put it on YCCS Portocervo @ 9s. Won @ 12s ๐Ÿ˜Š

The last day of a festival which, true to form, i haven't been able to successflly decipher. The stats, such as they are, have held up by and large - i've just chosen the wrong horses from the shortlists i ended up with. While i don't really see today being any different, i am ever the optimist.
