Any good courses on the way from Goole to the Scottish borders?
3 Answers
Me and the boys are going up to Scotland for our annual golf trip, and we'd like to play somewhere on the way up on Saturday, June 13th.
We are playing Dunstanburgh Castle on the way back down, and it's a great course, but one of our number is a bit wary of playing on the way up for fear of scoring 120 and messing up his entire week!
So we are looking for somewhere nice and easy in Northumberland or North Yorkshire?

Where are you going in Scotland to play may I ask?
I could suggest some gems to play if pressed

Thanks, but as the time is getting closer, we've booked Rothbury near Morpeth for our Saturday game.
We get a rental cottage near Kelso every year and buy a freedom of the fairways ticket allowing you to play 10 rounds for just over 100. We have whittled the local courses down to our five favourites, and we spend a day at each one, playing two rounds, one before and one after lunch. They are Eyemouth, Minto, West Linton, The Hirsel and Duns, and Dunstanburgh castle on the way home.
We may change location next year thoug, so any suggestions appreciated!
