How long did Liverpool have most Premiership / League titles?

Manchester Utd can now claim to have won 19 titles, one more than Liverpool. This claim is about two weeks old. How long did Liverpool hold the title of most Premiership / League 1 titles?

Well since the Premier League started in 1992.Liverpool have never won it so i think the answer is 19 years

By 1970 Arsenal, Everton, Manchester Utd and Liverpool all had seven league titles. Arsenal won in 1971, their first double year, giving them eight. Liverpool equalled that record in 1973 and then overtook it in 1976. From that date until this year they've held the record. Their total went up in 1977, '79, '80, '82, '83, '84, '86, '88 and 1990 and nobody came near it until recently.
