I was interested to hear Boris Becker say he thought it was Murray's 'time' this year. I sincerely hope Nadal's ankle injury does not hamper his game. I would love to see Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final, he has brought some humour to the game and good conduct throughout. Whatever the outcome, I hope the 2 matches are corkers - they have the potential.

For the first time ever, I have little or no interest in the ladies' championship. I think the grunting may have put me off.

I agree ttfn re the ladies, can't be doing with the grunting but I think the Mens' tennis has been brilliant this year and rather overshadowed the women.

Whilst I don't want Murray to win, if he does beat Nadal I hope it isn't because Nadal is injured.

Still loving Djokovic though.
I also afree re the Ladies, nothing exciting there. Good luck to Nadal and Murray!

Well the first semi provided some great play and pure athleticism - well done to both of them.

I still fancy Nadal over Murray, but hope they, too, have a great match.
Thank goodness Kvitova beat Azarenka in the ladies semi yesterday. Can you imagine a Sharapova/Azarenka final.....earplugs anyone!

Oh well, looks like Becker was wrong, eh? Well done Nadal!
I think the pressure gets to Murray TTFN, if only we had another brit to get into the second week it might help. It was the same for Henman in his day. Nadal is good though isnt he?

Nadal is fantastic and a worthy defending champion. This semi was a little disappointing for me, Alex. No matter how good Murray's tennis is, I do not believe he yet has the correct frame of mind for it.

The other was wonderful tennis - how much did I enjoy the close exchanges and all the net shots? Makes a good change from solid base line play.

Tomorrow I shall tune in to watch Liam Broady in the Boys' Championship ☺
Agree TTFN the first semi was better although I really wanted Tsonga to win. He is a breath of fresh air to all the other miserable so and so,s even djokothingy had to smile at some of his antics.
Poking your bum wont help an injured ankle
A great pity it is yet another year without a British champ.I think its a simple matter that although Murray is a great player ,probably the best we have had for many a year, he just is not capable or good enough to go the extra step to become a Grand Slam winner.I fear he will never do it, but I hope I am wrong.
Mick I think he will win one but I dont think it will be Wimbledon, he is under too much pressure

You are not alone in your disappointment mickrog - it won't be a crate of beer and a bargain bucket at the Murray's tonight. His mum makes a bulldog chewing a wasp look like Pippa Middleton ;o)
not long since got in from work......... do i take it the scottish loser has failed again then ?

Roll on Sunday, if Djokovic and Nadal play at their best, it's going to be a pleasure to watch.

If the 'ladies' would shut up then maybe more folk might enjoy watching their tennis
Tambo.. didn't realise you were an authority on bum poking...please tell...
Shame Murray lost but lets face it we aren't good enough. I know none of my nieces/nephews do tennis at their schools at all. There lies the problem.
The problem isnt the lack of tennis played at schools, it is the lack of competitiveness they teach at school nowadays, together with the costs involved in playing tennis to a high level from an early age. Tennis lessons with a performance coach are £40+, and performance players need three lessons minimum per week, together with good hitting partners.
once murray sorts the head out, it will be plain sailing, he has got it!!!

I am with you on that, piggy.

Just enjoying the boys' final. Though Saville has taken a back seat in the first set he is warming up now.
Liam, like Fred Perry, was born in Stockport - hope he attains other similarities ;o)
