Can someone tell me what the thin clear wire type stuff is called that you use with rods, it comes on a reel. I'm probably not explaining myself very well, I want it to hang Christmas decs up with it. Thanks for any replies.

Simply - fishing line
Monofilament nylon line

Lol, I tried putting line in an Angling website but it came up with rods! In floristry I'm sure it was called mono wire but tutor always told us to go to fishing shop as it would be cheaper. Many thanks for your replies, at least I won't look like a spanner when I go in the shop to buy it. RR
its a b to knot though I use 30lb line for jewellery and my glass mobiles as it is still fairly strong but thick enough to tie fairly easily
You could try braid, much easier to tie. Also available at angling shops
You may mean the plastic coated wire trace used in pike fishing. Have a look at this: http://www.anglingcen...opy_of_s_wrtrace.html

Thanks for all the replies, I went to the angling shop, walked in and asked "have you any clear" and before I could finish the man behind the counter said "Christmas decorations?" lol

Rowan witch, I remember last year trying to tie the line and it was definitely a B but I have an idea that may save my sanity.
