I messed that one up so trying again.

We see EPL players leaving the bench warming up on the sidelines.
Can any player do is or only as directed by the coaching staff?

What is EPL?
English Premier League
Any player can "warm up" if instructed to do so by manager etc.
However, they must have been named as a substitute prior to the match.
There are three subs allowed, from that list, during a game.
Also, a maximum of 3 from each team is allowed to warm up at one time, any more than that and they get told off by the 4th official.
