If you look at the football clubs that have gone into administrati on or out of business from Championship down to non league, virtually all of those clubs have not visibly spent money. They have gone about their day to day business with no sign of problems.

Most football clubs are in debt and usually funded by a rich owner dipping into his or her pocket.
Why on earth SHOULD an owner have to prop up a football club, it should pay its own way.
When a person takes over at British Steel (or any other company) they are not asked to dip into their pocket to pay the wages or buy a new factory.
Maybe Kenwright is trying to run the club without doing into debt.
After all look what happened to Leeds, Sheff Wed, Luton and other clubs. Heavily in debt and well down the league.

If you look at the past couple of seasons with clubs such as Fleetwood, Manchester City and Crawley spending like there's no tomorrow, it won't be those going out of business, but much more likely a Wigan, Everton or Walsall. Clubs who don't have directors or owners that put in vast sums each season.
