I know that the bulls eye of a dartboard is supposed to be about 1.7m from the floor.
However, I've noticed how high it seems. When you see professionals fetching their darts, they all seem to be way above the treble 20, which is about 1.85m off of the ground. I know they are on a platform, but not every single dart player is over 6 feet tall.
Can anyone clear this up? Is there a different height for professionals?

According to the PDC, the regulation dartboard height i.e. standard height from the floor to the bullseye of the board is 5 feet 8 inches (approximately 1.7 meters). Maintaining this height makes a fair competition between players.
