Northern Thunder (remember them?) ... are clearly annoyed that Netball is not an Olympic sport.
As are we all !!!!!
Let's face it ... look at some of the "sports" that will be in the Olympics this year ...
... beach volleyball
... BMX biking
... mountain biking
... football
... "artistic" gymnastics
... synchronised swimming
... water polo
And they don't have Netball in the Games? Purleeeeeze!!
What sports should be in the Olympics?
And what should come OUT to make room for them ?
Me first.
Quite clearly ... Football OUT, Netball IN

I'd do away with anything that requires 'marks for artistic impression'. If you're allowing Basketball, then football has to stay.. There are so many anomalies - if Handball is OK, why not Squash? Why no rugby these days, or cricket?
And, until they have running backwards and walking on your hands in the athletics, all swimming should be freestyle only.

A sport that we should be guaranteed a medal, possibly a gold, competing against the Greeks and the Egyptians.....brick throwing. (distance, glass smashing and 'machine gun' effect - reflecting, of course, shades of our longbow archers who could launch some 6 to 8 arrows a minute at the hapless French.
Come to think of it, having the French as the targets could make the "sport" that more interesting and many a nation (25 minimum to become Olympic recognised if I remember right) would join in.
