yes
that was really "on cue," Phil......the true sign of a pro pocket-billiards player.
Drogba played well both in Defence and Attack and scored a good Goal.
He was being fouled quite a lot
Drogba is a world class footballer and certainly a theatrical diver and a cheat, but if you want to judge him as a man it is much more important to focus on the millions he has donated and raised for the poor through his foundations in the ivory coast.
Yes, well said doctordb !
He does not seek publicity either, unlike the Beckhams !
A bloody great fairy.
^^^ not according to ferdinand, campbell,puyol,nesta,vidic e.t.c

Being a benefactor to charity doesn't make you a man, especially as he has a lot of disposable income.

Standing up, playing fairly, showing mental and physical courage(not difficult when you consider the very mild amount of physicality he 'withstood' last night), not feigning injury and acting in a pitiful manner whilst doing the job you're paid handsomely for would be the attributes I'd rather see i.e. acting manfully to a certain degree.
I just bumped the tele whilst hoovering last night and Drogba fell over ...
As I said drogba is a cheat(find me a footballer who isn't) but I still maintain that his tireless efforts and generosity for his fellow Ivorians far outweigh anything he could achieve as a sportsman. Just as sir ian bothams charity work makes him more of a man than does 5 for 1 off 28 balls. Disposable income it may be but what a good way to dispose of it.
He's a star... if only Torres could do likewise
Agree about the charity. But his constant collapsing has long annoyed the Chelsea fans at home games. There is just so much of it we can take. We forgave him this time, and reserved our abuse for Barcelona players who collapsed when the ball was far away just to get a stoppage. But generally, there are shouts of 'Get up Drogba, you big...!' and remarks about how he has died again. Occasionally her gets caught on camera, when he opens his eyes to see whether the ref has noticed and then shuts them again when he sees the ref coming!

I wouldn't decry his charitable contributions but on a football field, his place of work he needs to man up, grow a pair and try and save himself, his team but more importantly his profession from any further embarrassment.
He was kicked in the vegetables though, a foot went back into the potato sack I think by Puyol and I m sure many here wouldn't be feeling too manly after that..
Your right rowan, there is no pain like that pain.
If he had been kicked as hard as he suggested,he wouldnt have got up that soon.
Agree with that razza, he would have probably vomited as well.
"there is no pain like that pain"

Of course, tony, you've never been through childbirth.

Not that I have.

Thank heavens.

Stretching, and all that.

But I've heard it can be a bit sore.
Oh gawd, dont use that one on us jj.
