The have lacked pace, Kuyt a hard worker but slow and no regular left back with Carragher out of his depth.
Kenny did a good job getting the boat back on course, but yes, he should have been sacked.
A very average premiership side which was and is, going nowhere.

take the American money, adopt the American culture, if it's not working - fix it and start at the top. Great servant as a player, but no great shakes as a manager. Handled the Suarez issue very badly and between him and Connoli spent far too much on pretty average players (Henderson, Downing, Adam and Carroll). Think the writing was on the wall some months ago.
His stance on the Suarez incident was indeed the final nail IMHO.
What I do find surprising is the lack of support for him on here from those who usually can see no wrong in King Kenny.
I did find this amusing, from the BBC site:
Gareth Roberts, from Liverpool fanzine Well Red, said: "I'm shocked by it, I'm really surprised they have made this decision, it's too short a time to judge a manager".
Did he feel the same way about Hodgson? I very much doubt it.

KD has left with his dignity intact and has urged all the Fans and everyone associated with the Club to get behind FSG (Fenway Sports Group ) in appointing a new Manager.
KD has been a great servant of our Club, both as a Player and as a Manager (Twice) and he has stabilized everything after the fiasco we had with the 2 Comedians Hicks & Gillette.
I fully supported his stance with Luis Suarez as a lot of nonsense has been spouted about his spat with that a**e hole Evra.
All we need now is the appointment of a Top Manager who will move the Club forward and this will happen in due course.
YNWA !

You got the letters in the wrong order redman41.
It's YAWN.
This is a cautionary tale to LFC fans that being a very successful player doesn't mean that you will transcend that success to the team as a manager, very few do.
LFC fans became blind to his shortcomings out of a sense of misguided loyalty.
His percentage record was on a par with if not worse than Hodgson's, yet Hodgson was given short shrift, in contrast to KK.
