Well with the money he spent ( or wasted ) on players if it had been anyone other than King Kenny they would have had the sack last Christmas imo.
Before last season, the owners said that it would be a major disappointment if the team wasn't challenging for a top 4 place. I reckon that next season would be much the same as this if Dalglish had been left in charge.
That Liverpool side has not been good enough for the pats two seasons an particularly as it relied heavily on Mascherona (?sp), Allonso and Gerrard.
The have lacked pace, Kuyt a hard worker but slow and no regular left back with Carragher out of his depth.

Kenny did a good job getting the boat back on course, but yes, he should have been sacked.

A very average premiership side which was and is, going nowhere.
take the American money, adopt the American culture, if it's not working - fix it and start at the top. Great servant as a player, but no great shakes as a manager. Handled the Suarez issue very badly and between him and Connoli spent far too much on pretty average players (Henderson, Downing, Adam and Carroll). Think the writing was on the wall some months ago.
Is Abramovich American?
no, he just likes firing people......given Chelsea's success over recent years, three titles and fa cups and the managers still don't last. If he was chairman at most clubs they'd have a new manager every week!!!!
I thought they would have given him a bit longer and then maybe moved him to an upstairs job
No one has more contempt for Liverpool than me but I think to treat him like this is a little shabby, considering his history with the club
Saying that his handling of the Suarez affair was laughable
He did put a trophy in the cabinet this season but it was never going to be enough for the Yanks. I suspect Benitez may be expecting a phone call any day now but if he does, no more Spanish misfits please.
After wasting all that money they lost faith in Kenny and couldn't trust him to spend wisely this summer. They should be bold and go for Brendan Rodgers.
His stance on the Suarez incident was indeed the final nail IMHO.
What I do find surprising is the lack of support for him on here from those who usually can see no wrong in King Kenny.

I did find this amusing, from the BBC site:

Gareth Roberts, from Liverpool fanzine Well Red, said: "I'm shocked by it, I'm really surprised they have made this decision, it's too short a time to judge a manager".

Did he feel the same way about Hodgson? I very much doubt it.
His season fell apart after the injury to Lucas. He wouldn't play Kuyt, who I think has been magnificent for Liverpoool, no I don't support them.

The Suarez affair has damaged the club and I don't think he came out of it, in a good light at all.

Yanks want a clean sweep, expet Suarez gone soon.
KD has left with his dignity intact and has urged all the Fans and everyone associated with the Club to get behind FSG (Fenway Sports Group ) in appointing a new Manager.
KD has been a great servant of our Club, both as a Player and as a Manager (Twice) and he has stabilized everything after the fiasco we had with the 2 Comedians Hicks & Gillette.
I fully supported his stance with Luis Suarez as a lot of nonsense has been spouted about his spat with that a**e hole Evra.
All we need now is the appointment of a Top Manager who will move the Club forward and this will happen in due course.
YNWA !
Sorry but the last thing King Kenny left with was his dignity
He became a joke with his (mis)handling of the Suarez affair
The league postion only added to this too
Well said Redman 41.
I like kenny, I think he was a little out of his depth, I dont think liverpool have been a threat to any league title for years. I dont like the way they treated roy hodgson. lets hope their new manager has a thick skin, he will need it.
Yes very well said redman :)
Redman, the only nonsense spouted about the Suarez affair was from Dalglish himself. He thought he could talk his way out of it, his smart mouth only proved how out of touch he was.

The guy's a dinosaur, he should have been sacked there and then.
I thought you were a liverpool fan messi?
What gave you that idea cazzz?
You got the letters in the wrong order redman41.

It's YAWN.

This is a cautionary tale to LFC fans that being a very successful player doesn't mean that you will transcend that success to the team as a manager, very few do.
LFC fans became blind to his shortcomings out of a sense of misguided loyalty.
His percentage record was on a par with if not worse than Hodgson's, yet Hodgson was given short shrift, in contrast to KK.
