Why do the scots have a problem with the English. If there was an occasion where I had to choose between the Irish/Scottish...V...the rest of the World...I would choose the Irish/Scotish. I always yell for them when they are in any international sports.
Invis...I have told you many, many times that it's not ALL Scots, just like not all English hate the Scots but some do. It's all banter, some people find it funny, others don't. That's life I'm afraid. As far as I'm concerned I am a Brit who happens to live in Scotland. If England play anything I am behind them all the way.
Invisiblelady, I don't have a problem with the English whatsover. I also want anyone from these islands to win whatever competition they are competing in against the rest of the world. There are others who do have a down on the English, which quite frankly makes me mad! We regularly drive along the A1 heading toward Edinburgh to see home made posters on the verges - Freedom for Scotland - from what exactly? or else some other brain numbing poster calling for Freedom it beggars belief! As you will gather I am very much in favour of keeping the Union and have no time for the numpties who trumpet Freedom and independence - united we stand, divided we fall
Don't bother googling Invisiblelady, it was an English defeat of Scotland, 15th century, James IV was killed there as well. It was all about the Auld Alliance with France, England was at war with France (as usual) and as allies they called upon Scotland to support them and off they trotted and got gubbed! (as usual - not too many home wins for us ;)
