Olympic ticket, validity

Is a ticket for the Olympic athletics which is marked '10 Start time' valid for the whole day or is the day divided into sessions and valid only for one session? It doesn't indicate a session or an exit time.

At the top of the ticket does it not have a date and start time, followed by an entry code?

Each session has its own session code. These codes are given on the Olympic Games competition schedule, where you can see a summary of all the events featured in each session.

Sessions and events
Each session at the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games is a period of time that includes one or more events. For example, a single Hockey session at the Olympic Games may include two matches, and an Athletics session at the Olympic Games or a Boccia session at the Paralympic Games may include a variety of qualifying rounds or finals. Tickets for an individual session entitle the ticket-holder to see every event included in it.

I think there are three sessions a day - I've got an evening one starting from 6.30.

Just found the answer, I think. 10 is a session which lasts until 13.40 Not on the ticket but in the literature which comes with the tickets , which, for my other events, just gave a guide to how to get to the event and a bit about its history.

Thanks people! Yes there's a code A39 and it is for 10 to 13.40, the morning session. Pity, I was planning on staying all day and dying of heat exhaustion !

I'd settle for a short stay @ Olympics, followed by an eternity of emotional exhaustion, returning without finger nails, but with a minor case of euphoria.

It will be a whole day by the time you've got there, watched your events, had a late lunch, wandered along the riverside to cool down and beat the crowds, had a look at the strange looking BBC studio made out of blue crates, found the big screen and sat for a bi ofpeople watching. That'll take you until at least 7pm and time to begin the journey home.

Apart from your access to the specific event, you can spend all day in The Park which can easily soak up hours and watch the big screen from one of the green park areas.
