Just to add further to the mix - no one stated that Sir Roger Bannister was an Olympic medallist.

But his Olympic connection is not the same as the others which merely emphasises the point Mark was making. Because naturally the set of people who have competed in the Olympics for Britain is huge, even if you limit it to famous people.
