Half full, or half empty?

Are you an optimist or a pessimist? I was brought up to expect that in any given situation the worst outcome was likely to occur, and I have never been able to escape from this mindset. I wish that I could, but on the other hand I would not want to be in the happy-go-lucky camp, thinking everything will always turn out for the best. Where do you stand?

Half-full. Always.
I'm a half-empty type. Always think that fate will slap me in the eye with a wet fish if I'm too optimistic.
I'm definitely a pessimist. If you always expect the worst you'll never be disappointed!! LOL!
I'm not happy go lucky though. It's half full, not brimming over.
Prepare for the worst. Expect the best.
Both actually, I'm acutely aware of the unfairness and futile suffering that goes on in life and that everyone's ultimate destination is death whilst at the same time being able to marvel at the wings on a butterfly and take great joy in simple things. Just realised I'm a proper feck up ;-)
I tend to be a half empty person.
Right in the middle.
Nox, you would be crap at a party :( I am a glass half full person (even though we have had a lot of glass completely empty times). Sugar happens, you can deal with way more than you think can (really, you can).
That's kind of me Zac. I make sure I'm ready for it, but I go in with high hopes as well.
Depends how fast you are at refilling my glass at your party, sherr :)
My favourite saying in the would is, "It doesn't matter what height you fall from, you never quite hit the ground". I believe that.
*World. Sheesh my fingers are fat.
Nibble, if you like Aldi cider your glass would be forever full (it's a cheap party).
I'm half-empty, expecting that the good things will end and I'll have to pay for it somehow.
Well we'll all be happy at your party... Keep on with the fill :)
I will be standing in my bunker, slapping Prudie with a wet mackerel .
If you've got Aldi cider I could be a glass very full man Sherrard ;-)
"I will be standing in my bunker, slapping Prudie with a wet mackerel"
well that would be something to look forward to (not in the eye of course)
Always got Aldi cider!
