Fred Rumsey - Cricketer

When we were in New Zealand about 10 years ago following the England cricket team, we were introduced to a Fred Rumsey in the pavilion in Wellington. I believe this was the same man who played a few Tests for England.

He told us that he lived in New Zealand but had returned to England to act as a First Class Umpire in several County games one season.

Can anyone confirm that Fred Rumsey lives in NZ and that he umpired over here for a season?
