So far as I know, the Glazers aren't in the chicken business,so they may well want a manager who stays, bibble.
When I heard this news,I immediately sold
my shares,in Wrigleys Chewing Gum.
The Glazers are in the making-money-quick business so they might bring in whoever they decide will provide instant success.
I reluctantly agree with you Bibblebub
The important thing to the Glazers is to keep the profile high and the cash flowing in
Like it or not
The Glazers are in the recapitalisation business, bibble. If Man U hadn't been sitting on such wealth ; which it wouldn't have been if run like a normal company; they wouldn't have been able to buy it using borrowed money and then use the company's money to pay the lenders,.Nothing wrong or illegal in that, but it's nothing to do with being interested in football.

Winning the championship, year on year, doesn't matter much to them. While Man U has its following worldwide, already well established long before they arrived, it has a big market value. Their problem is waiting for the world economy to pick up enough so they can clear out to some buyer. It looks as though the number of sheikhs who want to buy a club has been met, so they have to look elsewhere.

Oh I beg to differ - thats what fuels the cash cow
Also I believe that City owner was a Utd fan in his youth and tried to but them but the Glazers would not sell
City always were second best
Didn't he announce it once before, maybe 15 years, then changed his mind?
Yes but he did not have a dodgy hip then
Well I was wrong again about this (SAF retiring). I really did believe he'd be there for the next three seasons, good luck to him in his new capacity.
Prawn sandwiches on stand by.

For me Moyes would be the best choice of the candidates banded about.
Someone on the radio a couple of hours ago had the info that the Glazers have rejected Mourinho as a successor because he's trouble so who else is there other than Moyes?
Anybody tell me why this had 11 minutes of news time at the lunch time BBC news and the Opening of Parliament 8 minutes and the latter was number 2 in the batting order. After all, what do Man U fans make up as a percentage of the population 5%

And this is not being or meant to be disrespectful to Sir Alec - yes it should be reported on but not as No 1 story of the day.
Oh I beg to differ
It might not be the most important news to you but it's all I have talked about today and, as I said to someone on the today website, I pay my licence fee too
Champagne socialist
Champagne socialist
how much are prawn sandwiches these days?
but who is in your avatar, ric.ror - an awful lot of us couldn't give a feck about football, never mind Man U. I am pleased to see that they have balanced the 10pm news and I am not saying that he shouldn't be mentioned. However, a programme jumped in on us at 10.40 is a bit rich - one would think he has died.

Or has he?
tut tut DTC for not knowing Frank Sidebottom
oops, sorry
who?? - sounds like how Gromit was described on the WW2 thread earlier!
