And Root, of all people.

Must've been like picking on a schoolboy!
Question Author
good one forgot about the surname of the English cricketer!!
He's a lad, isn't he ! Always in some kind of trouble. Destined to be another "character" in the fine tradition of Australian cricket, a worthy successor to Merv Hughes and the rest, as long as he keeps playing well. But picking on Root is a bit pathetic and not really in keeping with that image.
Can you actually get drunk on them two?!!
It all sounds like it was a bit of 'handbags at 20 paces'. He apologised, the apology was accepted so that should have been the end of it.
Bummer today's match was abandoned though, it was shaping up to be really interesting

as a thought, some advice to Warner at the moment might be handle your ale better and score more runs
see my Ozzie jokes on the joke page
yep, have done and laughed x

I thought it was looking a bit more balanced at the point it was abandoned though

pressure on England with Sri Lanka and India the side to beat?

and i do hope Root was carrying his proof of age card, bless
Can we just leave it now?

To be fair, the guy has had his punishment, has apologised, been contrite and appeared genuinely remorseful in the full glare of a media event.
He's obviously now under no illusions that regardless of his merits as a cricketer he is in the last chance saloon, so do we really need to continue the public flogging?
Whether he plays any part in the Tests or not, let's move on and look forward to one of the greatest events in the British sporting calendar.
fosters is made here for the British market, the Aussies don't touch the stuff, and no wonder, it's crap
