Currently Noavk is about 3000 points clear of Andy Murray, who in turn is 2000 points clear of David Ferrer. Murray might have a shot at getting to world number one in the build=up to the US Open -- there are two tournaments before then that he is defending maybe 200 points, and Djokovic defending 1600 with 2000 available. Victories or strong performances there and Murray could catch and even overtake Novak, but then he has to defend his US Open title or at least make the final again if he wants to get to #1.
The key problem is that Murray doesn't usually have a very good clay-court season that makes up a massive number of points available, while Novak and others do very well there. So Murray's journey to #1 is some way off yet, unless Novak has a horrible run in the next two months or so.
Still, right now all he'll care about is that he's a two-time Slam Champion!
