Australia won the toss and chose to bat, going along swimmingly at 29 without loss after half an hour.
Not used to this(Aussie openers getting a good start) and generally expect a wicket every 30-40 minutes.
Hopefully a breakthrough is not far away....

Australia reach 24/1 at lunch. I don't think the number of wickets Australia lose will matter until they lose ten before they get to 100. Rain has held off so far.
Khawaja in at 3, saving Watson for 5 or 6?
What a farce is Test cricket. All this nonsense about 'Hotspot'. The game has changed beyond recognition. Where has the sportsmanship gone? Why are there now appeals in the game? Bah humbug!
Why are the England bowlers bowling short.....particularly Swann? Runs are flowing.
Bad light stops play. No appeal from the players, it was an umpires' decision.
No more play today?
Will the Aussies declare?
In the unlikely event that play resumes soon, surely Australia have to declare now. 331 is enough to defend, and time and weather are no against the Aussies. It would be a pity if this petered out into a time weather-hit draw.
The discussion on TMS is about why is the light good enough for day/night games but not for test cricket?

I agree, Australia must declare and defend their lead, should be a good finish, weather (and light) permitting.
looks like that was that then, not a fat lot to celebrate really
^oops, no
Well anyway, here we go on day five, Australia declaring 331 runs ahead. Over to you, Cook and Root.
Oh my -- Cook out in the 3rd over! 0/1.
and a review used up.
Oh! dear................
Two more near heart-attacks, a run-out chance and an inside edge saving Root from another LBW...
Trott goes after a crawling stand of 15, 2 wickets down, and still about 85 overs to survive.
Don't panic folks - there are still two more Tests.
Pietersen gone for 8
Erk.

I'm going to put on some M*A*S*H
Well, Bell and Root make lunch, with chaos all round them. 35/3.

If Clarke had held onto that reasonably easy slip chance from Root it would be 4 down!
