Surely Palace must have realised that they were 90% certain to go straight back down? A victim of his own success? Brian McDermott at Reading suffered a similar fate when achieving promotion against the odds.

This is Crystal Palace ... makes no sense ... never has ... never will.
Just why do Brighton and Palace have such enmity? They are hardly close neighbours.
All he ever did was blame the Referees for his team's losses . Berk !
Hopkirk- As a Brighton supporter I have never understood this either !
