After last nights horror show I was contemplating not starting a thread, but in a never say die, you never know, could be another Botham/Headingly story.....

OK, not even the greatest Hollywood script writer give us a scenario to get out of this one but hope springs eternal.
We could get them cheaply for 120, then leave us 2 and a half days to knock them off at a leisurely pace...

Alright, alright, I'll pack it in. Aus have all but got this one in the bag and we're just playing for pride and (some ought to be, IMHO) for places. Bowlers did their job in the first innings, the batsmen failed to back them up.
Let's at least take it to 5 days if we can, though if it's done in 4 as looks likely we can use the extra day for the batters to have a serious net.

A friend of mine confidently predicted skittling the Aussies for 190-odd then making the run chase at a canter, 350-1 or that sort of thing.

I think she's probably forgotten to take some medication.
