Winter Games Day 10 - Sun 16Th

Its finally the day before my favourite event in the Winter Olympics!!!!

....and one of the highlights of the weekend - our own Zoe Gillings Team GB in the Women's Snowboard Cross.

This is the event where four athletes go down the ski slope, on snow boards, at the same time. Round the bends, over the jumps, left, right, in each other's way. Its so exiting i love it!

Starts at 7am....see you there.

(Zoe came 15th in Turin and 8th in Vancouver, can she get a medal place this time?)

I couldn't see the race, but saw she was in a photo finish to determine who'd get to the medal race. So close!

Another great day at the games. Zoe rode the board to the max and only missed the final by a hair's whisker.

And how exiting was the Men's Super G?!

I can't understand why Team GB risked their chances in the figure skating by including an extended lift? They were awarded a penalty point for it which left them down in 11th place. Disappointing.

Well done Netherlands for a clean sweep in the speed skating, there will be a big party in their camp tonight!
