the top of the Jungbong alpine downhill course will be awfully low at 1400m, and the course will only just meet the minimum vertical drop of 800m. it will also have the weirdbeards choking into their muesli as building it will require the cutting down of an awful lot of environmentally protected trees.

Cripes, mushers, that is very low.

The bottom of the course could be a few inches of slush.

The downhill skiers will be walking the last bit of the course.

You have to wonder why they don't award the Winter Olympics to countries that have, say ... mountains? and, err ... snow?

since they've a lot of wood to play with, maybe they could design a real challenging downhill course - like a rocky mountain double black diamond, complete with rocks, tree stumps and moguls the size of mini-vans.....
