Im going from road running to cross country and Im looking for a running app to log my distance and route. I have tried Go runningits a great app but cant always get good GPS on my phone (its a Samsung 5) can anyone help please

All these type of apps work on GPS so..........
Run-keeper is a general purpose running app. You could also use Strava.

You might not get a perfect location recorded when going cross country, but unless you're in the wilderness you should be able to get the jist.
If it's practicable, you'd be better off getting a wrist mounted device like the Garmin Forerunner.

If you don't want the latest model (which no one really needs) you can pick them up quite cheaply.

Then you don't have to worry about getting it wet in the rain, or slipping over and damaging it, etc.
