Help please. We have tickets for Thursday of next week. Looking at train fares, they are horrendous. Going is £16.90 each but coming back is £26.90 and that is at 7.15 pm which is a bit late for us. But if we come back any earlier it is between £40 a £63.
Parking is £26 per day.
Help please.

Get the National Express?
I have a great idea. Don't go. Come on Answerbank instead, it's more fun, and it doesn't cost you anything!
I think you are roughly in the Gloucs area, in which case they sound like not bad prices.

If you can be more precise about your departure station or other mainline stations nearby good noodles like Buenchico may come up with a better deal for you.

Hope you have a good time next week.
yes, is coach a possibility?
Or drive and park in the environs of Greater London and get the tube in.
Megabus quote £10 one way
- that's from Gloucester
Question Author
Haven't looked at coaches yet.
Best route seems Gloucester to Euston. Somewhere round 11.00 am going and leaving about 5ish

Mega us sounds good, will have a look
National Express route 44 might help but I can't get it to show a price.
Question Author
National express was £50 each.
If I was you I would drive to somewhere like Richmond (Old Deer Park car park is £11-12 for 24 hours) and get the tube in
Question Author
Megabus looks fine except I have got prices for concessions of £10, but underneath it says concessions are only applicable in Scotland, most confusing as the quote is from Gloucester.
Question Author
We have decided to drive down, park at Ealing and get the tube in. Takes the hassle out of everything and it works out cheaper. Going by train worked out over £100, with all the different par kings and changes.
Thanks for all your help folks.
that makes sense (though personally I look on 100-mile drives as hassles; but you can try to avoid the rush hours)
Question Author
We will certainly avoid the rush hour, been caught up in that too many times.
So...are we going to be hearing......Woman destroys prize winning garden while beating off a wasp....☺

Enjoy the day, Caran.
Have you got somewhere in mind re: parking in Ealing?
Enjoy your4 time there Caran. I'll be watching it every day. Say hello to Monty Don wont you?
Question Author
There is a large multi storey not far from the station, so we will head there.
