On the radio this afternoon, someone said there was no way that Algeria were going to beat Belgium.

So, naturally, I shot down to the bookies.

Belgium were 4/11 on.

I thought ... easy twenty to be made here.

I turned the radio on during the game, and Belgium were losing 1-0 !!!

I thought I was going to lose £55.

They came back to win but ... phew, jeepers !!!

if i'd put £55 on belgium to win at 4/11 it would have been a draw or a shock defeat

a few times every week 1/10 and 1/20s are getting beat in the 'in-running markets' and its not unheard of to see 1/50 and 1/100s turned over.
if 4/11s were 'dead certs' no-one would be working. ;-)
