Something Is Amiss Here
Oh I know what it is - there is no thread on the Inaugural Russian Grand Prix -we can't have that , can we ?
So ,what did you think ?
Some suprising driver movements for 2015 - not a lot of people predcited that , did they .
Hamilton now with a 17 points lead - shows how much things can change within a few races .
Looks like it will go down to the wire , with 100 points still available and with double points for the last race

Not a particularly interesting race but, that aside, I really don't like the circuit. With so much white concrete walling there just didn't seem to be any atmosphere, as if the race was being run behind closed doors.
To be honest I only watched until the end to see if Hamilton took the flag.

Not a great race by any means and bar the first lap was very short on incident, however it was the perfect result for Lewis.
His detractors on AB have been strangely quiet over the last 3 races though and the Nico fans appear to have resigned themselves to the fact that the better driver's class is now showing through and despite all legal means(and some not so) Lewis has risen above it all in the face of extreme adversity and acted like a true champion throughout.
It has become apparent that if Nico gets pole and Lewis second, Lewis invariably chases him down and either passes him or forces a mistake. When the roles/positions are reversed however Lewis just pulls away effortlessly and Nico has no answer.
I'm already looking forward to next season with the proposed driver changes. Ricciardo will be ably backed up by Kvyat, which looks a very exciting partnership.
As for Vettel I have a feeling that the move to Ferrari will re-invigorate him, so exciting times are ahead.
I can't finish my post wihtout saying that my thoughts like so many others are with Jules Bianchi and his family.
May he recover speedily.

I'm sure that Vettel has reached the point long ago where he deems himself financially sound, snags.
I doubt at this stage in his career he's doing it for filthy luchre. He needs a new challenge as he looks a little jaded and as the pundits say, every champion wants a spell at Ferrari at some point to see what they can do with the prancing horse.
As for the car, I'll reserve judgement. The FIA make changes every year and the best chassis/engine combination seems to change hands every 2 years or so of late. Remember when the Red Bulls were unsurpassed? It's currently the Silver Arrows, next season: Who knows? Rumours abound too that McLaren may be next season's hot ticket.
However it all pans out, it'll be exciting.
