Great to see him bowling a bouncer(an integral part of the game), gotta get back on the horse sometime and I'm sure that Phil Hughes would not have wanted it any other way.
The support Abbott has had has been incredible and hopefully he's well on the way to healing the odd mental scar he's bound to have.

But then he's not playing at 100%, which is something of a trait with Aussies.
Maybe he did it to exorcise a demon or two, may as well get it over with early than let the tension build, he may never have been the same again if he wasn't able to overcome the psychological barrier.
Just my humble opinion, mind.

I agree totally Chilli. Hopefully he will have a wonderful, long career. I can't believe somebody on this site suggested he should be charged with manslaughter.

Very glad. I'm pleased that he's been persuaded to get back playing a.s.a.p. - it would have built up otherwise.

It must have been horrible for him to bowl the bouncer - but that is part of the game and if he's not playing 100% he's no use to himself or his team. Every time he plays one, and the batsman is safe, drives away the memory and irrational guilt. I am also sure that Phil Hughes would be applauding.
