recently read an article that chose the best team of players all nationalities considered who have played in the premier league. all positions had several contestants except right back the chosen player was Gary Neville but surely after twenty plus years there must be someone better. any suggestions

Why should there be someone better?

He held the right back spot at Man U for years, and won a large number of medals with them.

If Fergie had not rated him he would have replaced him, but he never did (and he replaced many other players).

Neville was also picked time after time by different England managers, so they all rated him.

I bet when he was playing for Man U every manager of every other Premier team would have had him in their team like a shot.

And finally by listening to him on Sky Sports you can hear what a clever footballer he was by the way he talks about the game.
