Here we are then, the eve of the start of the RBS 6 Nations and we start against the team everybody wnats to beat.
It should be a great game but I would guard against too much hyperbole against a depleted England team. The pressure is off England, to the point where Wales are clear favourites, a position I dislike being in.
My rationale? Lancaster and Robshaw can gather their troops and say "Look boys, most of us here are the second-stringers and late replacements, more the possibles than the probables. We're not expected to win so let's go out there, chuck it about a bit, play with flair and abandon and see how it goes?".
It'd certainly be my mindset, were I in the position they're in squad-wise.

Give us a spectacle please, a game to be enjoyed, with no quarter asked nor given and may the best team win.

Chill Boy do I look forward to the 6 Nations. My wife becomes a rugby widow however. I hate the England/Wales fixture. My loyalties are divided as I am half Welsh but born in England. England gave me my work, home and family so I have to wear the white shirt on the day. My youngest son( 32yrs) has almost been disowned by our Swansea clan due to his rants when Wales beat...

I hate the England/Wales fixture. My loyalties are divided as I am half Welsh but born in England. England gave me my work, home and family so I have to wear the white shirt on the day. My youngest son( 32yrs) has almost been disowned by our Swansea clan due to his rants when Wales beat England. Very embarassing. I will wear the Red shirt on all other days when Wales play though. In the true spirit of all gentlemen Rugby supporters I will raise my glass to the winners and happily state the better side won on the day. Lets enjoy ourselves. Nice to hear from you again I had wondered were you had got to recently.
Don't underestimate the English side - bet they are still very dangerous, they're not exactly bit players in the Premier League are they and the one thing that England have is plenty of depth. Would be nice to see Cipriani let loose and rip the dragon's throat.
yeah looking forward to it

We're going to have a good day tomorrow. Work in the morning, Dover Beet Festival starts at lunchtime, then a curry, then watch the rugby in the evening. Yay!
Cheers and Hic, Nibble.....
Thanks for the youtube links. Loved Morgan Freeman's description of all that sums up Rugby players. Unlike those diving, diva ,nancy boys who kick a spherical ball!!
yes, chill, no pressure on us so take nothing for granted but Wales at home must be the favourites. keep an eye on the 8 though, remember this by Dallaglio, 45 secs in:
I'm looking forward to it and will be cheering Wales on tomorrow night. I get where you are coming from, I'm am a little reserved about the game as it stands as I'd rather be up against a full strength England squad to win well outright without the mutters of it being an easier win against a depleted side or, even worse, it looking worse if the game is lost.
My loyalties lie everywhere during the 6 Nations.

I had an Irish mother, a Welsh father, I live in England and my OH is a Scot.

I win!
Wot about the wo( oops) Italians ??
why was that banned wolf?
TTT - no idea at all why it was banned. It amused me though!

the welsh objected to their girlfriends being shown......
Attractive gal near Snowdonia getting ready for tomorrow night for the party afterwards....

Hi retro,
Thanks for the post and asking after me, you're a gent!
Truth is, the miaracle has happened and 5 years after my divorce I am now, what appears to be what some of used to call 'courting'! LOL
That explains my lesser absence on these boards of late.
As for tomorrow night, I'll consider you a full 100% Taff for the evening!
I'll raise a glass to both teams, despite the banter I could never bring myself to say I 'hate' England, I just enjoy great rugby, but then don't all rugby fans?
May the best team win(but be they wearing red, pre-dominantly!)

Good luck to all 6 teams but especially most people's second favourite team, Italy.
